Tanning

Q - How do I prepare my body for a spray tan?
A - Exfoliate your entire body to remove any dead skin. Don’t wear any deodorant, make-up or moisturiser to your tanning appointment.

Q - What do I wear when being sprayed?
A - This is an individual choice. Most clients like to go naked to get an all over tan but you can wear a bikini, g string, knickers or bra if you feel more comfortable.

Q - How long will my tan last?
A - Depending on your skin type, pre tan preparation and after tan care, a tan will last 5-7 days.

Q - Will I go orange?
A - No. Be Waxed and Tanned uses the best tanning solution to suit all skin types. Our formulas contain the highest grade of Organic DHA available.

Q - How long do I need to wait to have a shower?
A - Be Waxed and Tanned offers both 2hr (rapid) and 8hr developing tans. Both tans produce a beautiful colour, and showering can take place after 2 or 8 hours (depending on which tan you choose).

Q - Is it safe for pregnant women to be spray tanned?
A - There is no evidence to suggest that spray tanning pregnant women is unsafe. However it is important to understand that when a women’s body is experiencing hormonal changes it can alter the dryness and oiliness of the skin meaning that skin preparation and maintenance should be thoroughly managed.

Waxing

Q - How long does my hair need to be to get it waxed?
A - Your hair needs to be aprox 1cm in length to be waxed. If you have previously shaved, a good indication is about 2 weeks growth time.

Q - Will it hurt?
A - The first time hair is removed you may experience minimal discomfort but each time you get waxed the discomfort becomes less.

Q - How often will I need to get a wax?
A - For best results a minimum of three weeks is recommended between waxes. This is to ensure both stages of hair growth have grown back.

Q - What's the difference between a bikini wax and a bikini g wax?
A - A bikini wax is the removal of pubic hair along the bikini line (any hair visible outside your underwear line). A bikini g is an extended version of this. We take more hair off from the sides and the top.

Q - Can I get waxed if I’m pregnant?
A - Yes you can definitely get waxed whilst pregnant.

Q - I'm getting my first Brazilian. What do I need to do?
A - Nothing at all. You can bring in your own g string or we have disposable g strings at the salon.

Q - How can I prevent ingrown hairs?
A - Regular exfoliating with an exfoliating glove helps minimize the chance of  in-grown hairs. Using an anti-bacterial based body wash whilst exfoliating also helps.
